Is it secure?RentSmart uses industry standard 40 bit SSL encryption to keep its application pages secure.
To confirm that the application is secure, look for the closed padlock icon on the bottom left corner of your browser window. All information that is passed between your browser and RentSmart's servers through the application will be encrypted while this padlock symbol remains closed.
How do I use my approval?You can use your approval at any store in Australia. Just take your approval with you when you shop and tell them what your approval limit is with RentSmart.
Can I use it to shop at an online store?Yes. If you get approved online now, you can shop online at the Harris Technology website and select RentSmart as your pre-approved payment method.
Do I have to use my approval?No, your application is obligation free. The finance approval is valid for one month and may be used anytime within this period.
Do I need insurance?To protect you from loss, RentSmart requires all rented equipment to be insured. You may use your own insurance or alternatively use RentSmart’s Accidental Damage and Theft Protection Plan, which can be conveniently added to your rental agreement.
Note, some insurance policies do not cover rental equipment.
